The Sovereignty of God the Father
DEFINITION:

1.the quality or state of being sovereign.
2.the status, dominion, power, or authority of a sovereign; royalty.
3.supreme and independent power or authority in government as possessed or claimed by a state or community.
4.rightful status, independence, or prerogative.
5.a sovereign state, community, or political unit.
The Sovereignty of God is the biblical teaching that all things are under God’s rule and control, and that nothing happens without His direction or permission. The sovereignty of God is not merely that God has the power and right to govern all things, but that He does so, always and without exception. In other words, God is not merely sovereign de jure (in principle), but sovereign de facto (in practice).
